Powell Family

Melissa's family took me back to our studio days. It wasn't that long ago, maybe two years but it sure felt like it was ages ago. It made me realize that we made the right call and took this business as mobile. I belive that we wouldn't get the same reaction and moments the way we did if we were in a studio. This shoot was done in the comfort of their own home but it had the aesthetic and feel of being in a studio because Melissa wanted to re-create the family photoshoot they had with us back in 2011. Again, it's so fun seeing their old photos and seeing the kids now on how much they've grown. It was such a heartwarming moment when we see parents interacting with their teenagers as if they were still kids. Whenever I'm photographing this age group, I always make sure to get a shot of the kids receiving a kiss from their parents because I believe that you can never be too old to get a kiss or kiss your parents because to me that's going to be an epic shot!
